The Jamo mule was tasty and made me wanna look up the recipe so I could make it myself.
Why don't more bars offer this? The fish and chips are award winning and definitely a must have order.
The dish comes with about four strips of meaty fish with an outer crust that isn't too thick yet not too thin. Spritz that by squeezing a wedge of lemon and dip it in the creamy tartar sauce. You got yourself a nice balance of acid, crunch, and savory meal. I would recommend ordering this and sitting outside. Enjoy your meal as you people watch.
It's a nice spot on the row! -

Racist Door Policy & Dis-Respectful bouncers
Last night after a wonderful dinner in Santana Row and drinks at a lounge, we ventured over to Rosie McCann's. I was told by a bouncer to take off my gray Jordan beanie. It took me by surprise so I inquired why. He explained that there was a sign outside of the line with a list of what you can't wear. I proceeded to walk over and read the sign and it listed specific clothing items you could not wear (baseball caps, gang attire, etc) but never listed "beanie." So I asked him to show me wear it says beanie. He proceeded to also walk over and then without even acknowledging my point or looking at the sign he turns his back and walks away. I try asking him why do I need to take off my hat and he proceeds to call security. Then the other bouncer who claimed to be his boss then steps to me explaining that if I had a "Kangol," then it would be okay. But that's not even listed on the sign. So here it appears to me they are being arbitrary in their admission. Here is where I pisses me off: you are playing hip-hop music and then when those who authentically represent the culture arrive at the door, you police their attire with arbitrary rules, dictating what is fashionably acceptable in an IRISH PUB! My friend is getting frustrated because he doesn't understand how I'm so upset and trying to have a philosophical conversation in 2020 with a bouncer. But it's much easier to walk away but harder when you're being culturally vilified. It's more than a hat! With the other bouncer, I explain the cultural phenomenon of The Cotton Club, how whites could dine and enjoy the show, but black people could only work and perform and how you are perpetuating the stereotype of racism by arbitrarily deciding what Black People can and can't wear as we enter Rosie. At this point, two security guards of the club arrived (who are also chiming in on their perspective), the initial bouncer who walked away is yelling his two cents, my friend is asking me to talk to him off to the side and then the general manager Ben comes outside. He and I chat off to the side as two other Santana Row security guards appear, one sprinting with one hand behind his back as if to take off handcuffs or a weapon. As Ben and I chat, I honestly tell him what occurred and he consents that the sign is mid-leading. He proceeds to walk us to the door for admittance and the bouncers refuse. They then pull him aside and lie to their hearts content about me being "aggressive" and "encroaching his space" and how I blocked people from walking into the club. Just lies upon lies, pitting Ben in a difficult space to choose sides. Ben relented and chose to support his employees and told us to comeback another night. As I'm trying to tell Ben how how they are lying to you and who knows what else they might bring lying about, one bouncer says, "Don't you have somewhere to go." Then a security guard grabs my side and I immediately inform him not to touch me. As we leave, he and his partner follow me off of Santana Row's property, claiming that we were trespassing and they were going to call the police. I tried to explain that that wasn't necessary, but they insisted. One was on his walkie-talkie the entire time providing a description of my friend and I, doing their best to make us feel as though we were criminals. I then tried to complain about his aggressive harassment to the security company he works for and he responded that he was the supervisor. He followed us to where Santana Row ends and private homes begin. They were going to follow us to South Monroe street but my friend explained that this was not Santana Row property.
I blame Rosie's bouncers for turning something so simple into being followed by security. I can't say that I'm not surprised because there was always an aggressive police state feeling at Santana Row. I'm greatly disappointed in Ben as a general manager because he had the means to quell this misunderstanding.
I hope he regrets his decision and I look forward to his response.
Her are the photos I took of the officer only after he proceeded to photograph me. -

Definitely a nice little gem
I was recommended to come here by a friend ; and I have to thank him for that!!!
Love the ambience and service is top notch.
They have a great happy hour everyday from 3pm-6pm!
Marissa is usually the bartender that helps me. She's super friendly and always puts me in a good mood! I must also mention; she's great with recommendations too! Haven't tried anything that i have not liked yet. The manager Ben is super polite and funny as well! You can tell that he cares alot about his team which is very important.
Okay; onto the food!
Their salads are amazing!! I usually get the grilled chicken one with the egg on it. Taco salad if you like a lil crunch. Everything is super fresh; quesadilla is bomb too. They also have brunch deals on weekends with bottomless mimosas so thats a plus!
Overall I highly recommend ! Good food and amazing service; what more can you ask for -

Called in tonight in regards to the happy hour on Sundays which is stated 3pm - close for the service industry all night, and was told there is no happy hour tonight in a rude tone of voice. I then asked more info on the service industry event I seen online for New Years going on tonight Jan 5th and she said " it's for the industry for people who had to work on New Years if that's means anything to you at all, now can I help you with anything else?" I find that very rude coming from a host as I know what it's like to work on holidays being a server. I wanted to stop by for the event with friends to get the celebration of New Years but my first impression on a phone call wasn't pleasant.. this review is for that persons etiquette, and not the overall restaurant.

This place is so nice! First of all, it is located in a beautiful area of santanA row which allows you to overlook the playground area. In addition, the service that we received there was super great! Our waitress was training someone and she was super on top of our drinks (which were amazing by the way, literally go with anything Martini) and then when I checked in you get a free Irish nachos. The Irish nachos sound a little weird at first but they are so delicious and everything you can want; potato, and cheese. Try coming here when it's nice and before it gets late as it does get crowded on the weekends.
